A Book of Creature Ditties

        There's lots of entertainment and literacy learning, with alliteration, rhythm, rhyme and song, in these captivating, nonsensical little ditties. . .
meant to be used creatively!

Just so you Know:

        * Alliteration is the repetition of letter sounds in phrases or sentences.
        * Ditties are short poems to be sung.
        * Studies show that learning is enhanced and maximized with repetition,
           rhyming, singing and alliteration. 
        * Rhythm and smooth-flowing, user-friendly words and simple, nonsensical,
           whimsical illustrations make learning easy and enjoyable.

*Try out these two little creature ditty samples with the alphabet tune:
Sing the first four lines, pause and say,"Oh," and then go back through the first two lines.
For added fun, slow down and enunciate the last few words.       




Pet Patty the pig was prompt and polite.
She practiced her manners all day and all night.
She ate pears and peaches and pasta and peas,
And purposely planned to always say, . . . “Please”!






Thomas T. Tiger was a terrible teen,
He had a bad temper and was tough and mean.
His parents had taught him to do as he should,
But Thomas T. Tiger wouldn’t try to be good.
